Both were ranked Top 10 P4P by The Ring but people are just dismissing The Ring's list in this particular situation in regards to Guererro and Canelo.

well he came off a huge victory over margarito.... who had just come off the best victory of his career against cotto.

I can maybe see him being on the list, but #3 seems way too high in light of his loss to Cotto and his performance v Mayorga.

Was Shane one of the best 3 fighters in all of boxing at that point? I don't think so.

Ah ok thanks. I mean I understand the qualms with the ring but it is what it is right? It's still the "bible" of boxing. What else do we have as far as history is concerned.

His fight with Mayorga was at 154 so not much stock can be put into that considering he's always looked poor at 154 his entire career and the Cotto fight was a close fight and good losing performance against at the time one of the best fighters in the world.

And that doesn't really matter because the Margarito fight was P4P quality stuff. Margarito again considering to be one of the best fighters in the world at the time and the most feared fighter in the world and he beat the absolute hell out of him.

I still like Ring's divisional rankings, but their PFP list is definitely now a marketing tool.

The Ring's rankings are good for the most part IMO. Some shaky choices on the P4P rankings but to be honest that's always been the case.

I think if people use The Ring as their go-to rankings which pretty much everyone does and always has then you can't pick and choose when you're going to go by them.

guerrero didn't deserve to be top ten p4p anyone with a brain knew this....and canelo sure as hell doesn't belong in the top ten p4p..

soon as ring put broner in the top ten that's when it should have been clear to EVERYONE that ring's top ten rankings are complete BS...

It's ok bro. I don't always agree with the rings rankings either but they're the professionals. Live with it brah.
