Also on the clip a younger Sergei Kovalev scoring a tasty KD.

The two fights are about 1.35 and 1.55

Don't get me wrong, nothing would make me happier for a HW KO artist from the US to emerge and re-ignite HW interest by the big broadcasters, but I'm expecting Wilder to fold the moment he goes in with a live body.
green karma bro that video was a mad throwback. can't believe he got owned so easy and with head gear on

Yup. Who shows up an overweight, and overmatched opponent like that? In a four rounder even?

Dude is a Paul Williams KO waiting to happen.

Yes he's untested and had limited opposition so far but he's got the highest KO percentage and he has mad crushing power.

29-0 29 KO's is still impressive no matter how you dissect it.

But why do so many hate on and criticize him? Has he been knocked down before? Is he chinny?

I don't know I only see his last few fights but always impressive out of those times I've seen him.
every fighter gets hated on here.

Many punchers turn out to have glass chins, and we've never seen Wilder go into the deep rounds of a fight. I'd say a majority of fans are expecting Wilder to go down as soon as he faces a top 10.

If Wilder defeats Chisora or Arreola, people will believe in him.

Yes he has been down, twice. Once against Harold Sconiers and once against some guy who was grotesquely out of shape. He also appeared buzzed by some middleweight carrying 100lbs of lard that had been massively inactive and had two bad knees. I think its safe to say hes carrying glass.
There definitely has to be a link between having a peanut sized head and a weak chin, Khan, Wilder, Haye, Mitchell...

Because when he punches he looks like bird chick learning to fly.

Lookout he is loading up both of them.

Very true. I don't know if it will happen, I'm still unsure of him but in fairness he has all the natural gifts, speed, power, athleticism etc. Dunno about his chin and he can be far too wild ... if there was somebody like Manny Stewart around he would turn Wilder into something awesome.

I'd love to see him again arreolia/chisora/adamek to see whats what ...

Tua, Holmes, Vitali & Bowe were ALL KO'd in the amateurs with headgear on.

                  Buncha china chinned frauds, right?

Ironically, Wlad reportedly was never KO'd or even hit the canvas in 150+ amateur fights, but found himself KO'd in the pro's 3 times, and dropped over a dozen times before he even reached the age of 30. Explain that!

BTW, Wilder in that clip was only about 2 years removed from his 1st time EVER stepping into a boxing ring, Facing guys that have probably been boxing their entire lives. What happend to Wilder or Tua, Holmes, Vitali & Bowe as amateurs (keyword:AMATEURS) in their development stages have no bearing on their potential capabilities as they fully develop & transition into the pro game.

Also, the strategy, tactics & approach that are used to win amateur boxing matches are completely different than those use to win pro boxing match, due to the differing scoring systems in the amateurs and pro's. Some styles of fight are better suited for the pro's than the amateur's.

                    Calmness buddy...

TS was asking for info, seemed interested in past footage, so I thought I'd share it with him. At the end of the day most high level ams will face better fighters in the ams than 80% of their pro opposition, day in, day out.

I ain't hating on Wilder, in fact I wish him well, great athleticism, speed and power. It's simply an observation that his chin and stamina remain very much unknowns, but available evidence does suggest some vulnerability.
