How do you know what Floyd will enter the ring at since he does not allow them to weigh him on fight night? Canelo did not weigh 174 pounds for Trout. His actual stipped down weight was probably about 167 pounds. Do you think those fight night weights they give you are fighters stipped down to under wear weights? They are not. The fighters are weighed shortly before they enter the ring with shoes, trunks, boxing gloves and foul protector on. That stuff weighs at least 4 pounds and they do not subtract that from the weight they give you. They intentionally try to shock people with the big difference. If you honestly think Canelo will weigh in at 152 and then fight at 174 pounds or more 32 hours later then you don't know what you are talking about.The only weight that matters is the weigh in weight and both fighters will weigh in within a pound of each other. The one with the advantage is Floyd because he is very comfortable weighing at or near 152 pounds and Canelo may not be comfortable weighing in that light. As others have pointed out Floyd is the WBA 154 pound super champ and he should defend his title at 154 pounds. If Floyd is too small for the weight then he should have given up that title long ago but he did not.
