The reported weight of 172 is not correct because they don't subtract for shoes, gloves, trunks etc. and it is on an unofficial scale. !72 is lighter than the 174 you first said anyway. There is no way in hell Canelo will out weigh Floyd by more than 12 pounds. For Canelo to gain the 21 to 25 pounds you say he will in 32 hours is impossible. His stomach would look like he swallowed a gaint water mellon or a large beach ball. You are taking these fight night weights like they are the gospel and they are not the least bit accurate. Use your common sense if you have some.Pro fighters don't gain 25 pounds in one day. It is physically impossible and if they could gain that much weight it would do them harm not good. Why would Canelo gain this huge amount of weight and Mayweather not gain an ounce?? If you want to believe your BS then I give up on you. Wallow in your ignorance.
People whining about canelo losing 2 lbs..

i think you will find that kneeguels best days were at 147.If you look at the difference in weight Margarito for example at 150 and he's 154 fighter...
Cotto at 145 -9lbs from his strongest weight.
Hatton was already shot...
I'll not waste my time in telling you how many fights Floyd went 'down' for... but I'll tell you how many fights he's generally been outweighed +10 lbs in the ring...
I think he means you use your common sense, if weight made no difference he'd fight Vitali then...
he's fought at 154lb twice, and performed far far from his best, so perhaps he's realised he's not great at that weight class? is that a crime?
Oscar is a natural 154 fighter.. he weighed in at 145lbs for the pacquiao fight..
CANELO IS COMING DOWN JUST OVER 1LB FROM WHAT HE NORMALLY WEIGHS.
stop this nonsense.Comment

They take the weights before their hands are wrapped etc. Even if weighed with shoes on and clothes that would only add a few lbs. Lots of fighters have gained 20lbs+ after weigh in. Gatti did it a few times and he was smaller than Canelo. The reported weight of 172 is not correct because they don't subtract for shoes, gloves, trunks etc. and it is on an unofficial scale. !72 is lighter than the 174 you first said anyway. Just give it up dude, Floyd is the only PPV star not allowing to request specific things..especially CW's.
Now I know another boxer that could have gotten away with it scott free, but hey, learn how things work around here.Comment

As far as canelo i really don't see 152 being a problem
as far as floyd, i don't necessarily see it as a problem but something of note that everybody knows is that is more lackluster performances (performances where he looked vulnerable) have been at the higher weights.
when he fought de la hoya he weighed in at 150
when he fought cotto he was 151
he'll fight canelo at 152
nothing more to say but to wait and see how the flight plays outComment
