For some reason people still want to hang on to the argument that if Floyd really wanted to fight Pac it would have happened but the trend we're seeing is that if you take TR out of the picture, fights get made...now I won't say Floyd & Pac didn't play a part in $h!t not working out but it's clear that fights happen once guys leave TR.

Because he finally decided to leave the protection of Arum and fight Floyd. Anyone who thinks Pac/Floyd didn't happen because of Floyd is a fool. Arum wouldn't let any of his fighters near Floyd. If Pac loses to Rios his money train days are totally over so then Arum won't care who Pac fights. Arum needs to just go into a coma and get out of boxing forever (Don King as well).

Top Rank works with other promoters with no problems. DiBella etc. same with GBP, they work with other promoters as well. The problem lies between GBP and Top Rank. They won't do business together. So saying Top Rank is the problem is complete nonsense. Top Rank and GBP have a problem with each other.

If after his fight with Rodriguez GBP comes to him with a big offer he will go to them.
This right here is what happened. When he was offered the Floyd fight after Margo II, he was a free agent and therefore took the highest bid. GBP probably wanted to keep him around as a future opponent for Canelo and tried to make Cotto-K9, reasonable opponent for coming off two straight losses, but they said no. HBO and TR got him Rodriguez and hopefully, Juan Manuel Marquez next.

The Floyd fight was more lucrative then a Pacquiao fight, plus it was at 154 instead of a catch weight.

He fought Trout with Golden Boy and made good money since it was PPV in Puerto Rico, plus the gate and SHO $$$ he made out well.

SHO wouldn't give him a soft fight and HBO was willing to give him Delvin Rodriguez so he went back to Arum/HBO.

fights get made because floyd refuses to work with top rank. if he was willing who's to say these fights wouldn't happen? floyd doesn't work for golden boy, so he saids, so why does he only fight golden boy fighters?
