Floyd faked retirement to avoid top prime Welters. Accept it and move on.

Steve Kim on his podcast said there was a contract with TR for more than one fight despite what Cotto said publicly.

He knew gbp wouldn't give him the foreman, Michael Jennings type of fights. See who he's facing now?

For a Floyd fight. Pacquiao would rather get financially face fucked by Arum than growing some nuts, leaving Top Rank and fight Floyd.

When Cotto's contract with Top Rank expired he had two big fight offers on the table: Go to GBP and fight Floyd at 154 or stay with Top Rank and take a Pac rematch at a catch weight of less than 154. Cotto said he wouldn't sacrifice his body like that anymore in regards to a catch weight and that he was in a position where he didn't have to do that anymore for anybody. Floyd offered him a lucrative fight with a purse of more than $10 million with no catch weight so he took it.

Now...GBP doesn't have much to offer him as far as big fights are concerned. There's the possibility of Canelo. Top Rank can get him a fight with Martinez who's with DiBella when he comes back from injury if Cotto wants it so he went with them for the time being.

Cotto wanted Bundrage at 154 and Showtime said no so he got in talks with Top Rank + HBO and they said "comeback to us and pick whoever you like. If you win we get you either Martinez or Marquez" so he picked Rodriguez. Right now he is on a fight by fight basis with them and will go to the highest bidder. If after his fight with Rodriguez GBP comes to him with a big offer he will go to them.
