Bump this on Sept. 14th... seriously.
He thought Mares would be Gonzalez, he thought Donaire would KO Rigo

Seriously... how do you get that label?

Hes the most knowLedgeable expert in the sport after Kellerman. How the f are you going to use mares-gonzalez to try and help prove your case? Mares was like minus 1000.

Everyone thought Mares would beat Gonzalez and most people picked Donaire over Rigo.

Your basing your theory on his knowledge because he got some predictions wrong? These are guesses and the examples you used were popular predictions at the time. Hardly anyone saw Mares losing and even fewer thought he'd lose in that fashion.

Not Dougie's biggest fan and he generally always picks against Floyd. If you were gonna use an example then his one for Cleverly - Kovalev was way off. Just don't see how you can evaluate someone's knowledge based on guesses he got wrong.

Doug is actually quite humble if you meet him in person and he's always willing to talk and even do interviews but Fat Dan and lot of these other guys won't give you the time of day.

My personal fav who you can legit call a boxing expert was Bert Sugar RIP! He always gave me his predictions and it would make me feel more comfortable when I placed bets in Vegas.

Doug Fischer: "Ezzard Charles and Joe Walcott beat Lennox Lewis at hvy EASILY. I wish some of you younger fans could appreciate the greatness of the guys of the past"

he and I are the same age.

Seriously doug fisher is one of the most knowledgeable journalist in the sport. Because he actually knows the sport. He breaks down the fighters the xs and os. You can tell he knows what he is watching in the ring when he breaks down the fights. I like him and al bernstien. That said I will say he doesnt seem like the biggest floyd fan.
