No, what I'm saying is that If Gennady moved up and wanted to fight Ward, I know for a fact that Andre would take the fight. He's not looking at GGG right now because he's not a 168 pounder and he wants big money fights at that division. If GGG moves to 168, that would be the big money fight that Andre's looking for.

Stevens is evidently getting 400k...300-400 is a good payday.
Martinez undoubtedly the biggest. I don't know about the international guys, but Golovkin and Chocolate offer the next most in the U.SComment

I'm amazed at how many critics there are of Golovkin claiming he is ducking fighters and hasn't been tested. I'm willing to bet some of these comments are from the same people who thought Stevens would beat him. The guy fights 3-4 times a year and has stepped up in competition every time. How many boxers at his level can you say that about?
No, he's not yet at the level to draw as much interest as Mayweather because he hasn't been in the game as long and hasn't had a chance to step up to the highest level yet. It doesn't seem like this is any fault of his own. He has said repeatedly that he is willing to take on anybody and wants to unify the middleweight division by beating all the belt holders. He is on his way now and I don't see any reason why he shouldn't hold all middleweight titles in the next couple of years. I think because of his power, he has trouble getting the top level names to fight him because they don't want to lose their rating and subsequently popularity and bout purse size.
To the critics who say Golovkin only fights ex-champs who are past their prime and B level fighters, what would you say about the #1 P4P - Money?? He fought Mosley way past his prime, he fought Oscar De La Hoya way past his prime and he fought Martinez past his prime. What makes Mayweather so deserving of all the praise he receives when he is at the top of the boxing world and has ducked the best competition his entire pro career?Comment

Why is this a bump worthy thread? When Richard said this, it was fact. What happens after doesn't change that what he said at the time was true.
Many people back in the day said Floyd was not a huge draw with his 350-400k PPV's. Should I bump those 2005-2006 threads and say "Pwned, Floyd-DLH 2.4Mill, Floyd-Canelo 2.2Mill, Floyd-Cotto 1.5Mill, Floyd-Mosley 1.4Mill!"?
That would make no sense. It is true that Floyd was not a big draw back then.
1.1Mill, 850k, are terrible numbers for a televised main event fight.
1.5Mill is a huge improvement, and actually around what is considered "great" in boxing televised fights.Comment
