what people tend to overlook is that Floyd is pretty much made weight already, and he can worry less about making wait and put more focus on actual training/strategy/rest the final week before the fight.

Canelo, on the other hand, will still be busy shedding the 5 lbs and possibly stressing out about being able to make weight, so his focus will be on the weight instead of focusing on strategy/training.

Floyd already won the mind games outside the ring.

Since 2006, how many fights does Floyd have at 140 or below? If you say 0, that means his best weight, is the division hes spent over 6 years in.

Are you sure? Looking at Canelos sheet, it says hes weighed in at or under the weight limit of 154 every single time.

I do not think Canelo looks good in his face.

Spot on, I couldn't have said it better myself!!!

On fight night, Floyd has already been declared a winner but Canelo's corner was just thinking about the strategy.

This is a farce fight unlike the Pac/Rios, I would definitely pay for.

people love to act like Floyd's a lightweight

152.5, so what would he weigh after a 2 hour training session? 149-150 perhaps. You guys are ******ed. The most recent ESPN article coming out about Floyd with the writer shadowing him in camp and life mentioned he was cutting training sessions off early because quote "i feel too light"

It's at 152, ideally that's what he'd like to weigh in at. What did he weigh in at for ODLH and Cotto when the limit was 54?? He didn't weight 154, or even 53.

My guess is that Floyd will come in at 151 or 151.5.

Also, no one is acting like Floyd is a LW, but he is a small WW, by welter standards both recently and historically.

C'mon bro. Floyd is a welterweight, by the time Canelo comes in the ring he'll be 170+ that's a ****in light heavyweight. He's suppose to b the champ at 154 but he'll b 3 weight classes above that. 160,168,175

Official weigh-in: Alvarez 153 lbs, Trout 153 lbs
Pre-Fight Weights: Alvarez 172 lbs, Trout 171 lbs

Alvarez looks to be on point.

first of all what is the fine per pound for canelo? And secondly oscar wants him to win real bad so what are the odds of him having said to canelo ... (just come in at 153 or 153.5 and golden boy will cover the fine) if he wanted to give canelo a real good psychological boost 9as well as a physical one) that would be the best thing he could do for him. Also oscar knows all about being weight drained for a fight so imo if there is any risk of canelo being drained he'll be all over it to try to ensure canelo comes in at his best. So as it stands not knowing the fine I wouldn't be surprised if canelo comes in maybe at 153 or something.
