Well said Ivansmamma, couldn't agree more. But Virgil Hunter's response was a class act none the less.

... To conclude: is Mr. Andre Ward going to fight someone of some relevance whatsoever, in the near future?

Ward does need to fight, soon. Against a relatively decent fighter. I personally think he should have jumped all over Adonis at 175. But he seems content for whatever reason to want to try and milk 168.

HBO being a d1ck though, you accept Sergio Martinez vs a bunch of average UK fighters but want to give Ward a hard time for ONE FIGHT? Just let the man get his Tune Up so he can move on and get back to fighting Top Level Competition

The man spent the last 3 years or so of his career taking on the very best so why are people acting like he don't want to fight the best all of a Sudden?

I don't think anyone's saying SOG don't deserve or need a tune-up, just that it's a bit cheeky of him to expect HBO to pay him top-end fees for a total mismatch which holds no public interest. Remember also that Barker, Macklin and Murray were in or close to the top 10 at MW (and that Mack and Murray put Maravilla down), Ward can't really claim that about the guys he's asking to fight.

Listen, I don't really think it's any of Sanchez' business, and he probably woulda done better to hold his tongue, but in essence I agree with him.
