he can study them, but not emulate them as he can't change his style 4 the 2 guys mentioned...so many theories as what Alvarez must do, but 1 thing he can't do, as in Trout's bout, is throw 5 punches per round, still, the blind judges gave him 1 of those 5 punch rounds...2 late 2 change now, training is over...

But we both know Canelo will need to make much more complex adjustments than just stepping up output. For one, he needs to be more hands on and absolutely bulldog Floyd. Hell, he'd be better served watching Hatton vs. Tszyu than he would Cotto vs. Floyd.

Floyd himself has said as much about Pacquiao, that Pac only faces his sloppy seconds. The biggest difference is that Pacquiao defeated each of them more convincingly (with the exception of JMM of course)... but maybe that is because they weren't the same after Floyd. Either way, regardless of wether or not it is true, it is a valid argument. Who here doesn't think that the Margarito fight took something permanently away from Cotto? He went from prime to slighly sub-prime because of a savage, and illegal, beating. He took a worse beating from Pacquiao and then fought Floyd. The poster was only making the brief point that after Pacman, Cotto was sub-sub-sub-sub-prime. But I think maybe you already knew that... or maybe once you saw "Pacquiao" and "Floyd" in the same post, you stopped reading and made up your mind.
So we basically agree, it goes back to Pac vs Floyd.
I recommend you re-read your post and tell me it's not about Pac vs Floyd. It's all you're talking about.
If that ain't true then please tell me how the hell any of this relates to Floyd vs Canelo.Last edited by cameltoe; 09-06-2013, 12:10 PM.

You see Stevens being hyped? By who?
Read and learn well, I don't have to like GG or root for him, got that?
Half the time all I read is how sorry he is and how he lost to Jesse Brinkley.
Who's hyping Curtis Stevens?? YOU! Didn't you post he was scaring GGG during the staredown?Whatever you say man, everyone who read this back and forth knows exactly how you are now, if they didn't already know before.

Great response from Floyd. lol. That was sharp.
But yes, there is no blueprint, and the only thing his opponents can do is look at the few successes fighters have had against floyd.
Canelo does have a decent chance, but i needs to be twice as good as he was against Trout.
