As Broner. His best win was DeMarco. Lost to PDL. Barely beat the corpse of Paulie.

Larry said Mayweather beaten the "number 1 guy" in every division.
        Oh, ok.

I think he means they (Gatti, Cotto) were ranked #1 (The Ring) when Mayweather fought them.

Gatti was #1 (Other than Champion) and Cotto was #1 (Champion Vacant)

So technically, by The Ring quite flawed style of ranking, they were both ranked #1.

If you beat a champ for your title you are not a paper champion period

To be fair though that is just a fancy "on paper" kind of stat.

Mayweather did "on paper" and "technically" beat the #1 ranked fighter in every divison he's fought in. But, the divisons he fought the highest ranked guy in the division are - 130 x2 (Hernandez, Corrales) 135 - Castillo 147 - Baldomir.

Infact, Cotto was actually the highest ranked guy at 154 at the time but the Lineage was vacant but no one was ranked above him so I suppose you could throw him in there.

But, Gatti despite being #1, Tszyu was ranked above him at the time.

Yeah it was kinda confusing how he worded it. When I read he beat the number 1 guy, I automatically assume that means the best in the division.
