Tend to agree. I don't see Murray as the ducking kind at all and this would be the biggest fight out there for him in prestige as well as £s. If Hatton doesn't feel he's ready then Murray needs to send him packin'..

As you say, a domestic tear up with Barker could make good sense as well - and is certainly more winnable, but I'd thought Barker - Sturm was in the making?

Murray was allowed to keep his ranking with the WBA after the Sergio fight on the condition that he fights Golovkin next. He already avoided him and now with barker in the picture, it will continue

Martin Murray is the true Lineal Champion at MW IMO.

He should fight Barker, the winner fight Golovkin.

              These:

'Gennady has already said that he wants to fight Martin Murray next,' manager Oleg Hermann told World Boxing News.
'The problem is, we are told that Martin has big problems with his United States visa and cannot go to America.
'If he can get his visa and wants this fight, we have a date on November 2 and we can make this big fight happen at Madison Square Garden.

'As yet, we have had no answers back from Murray or his team on this matter.'

              dailymail (4 July 2013)

Well, I think that Murray should have, at least, called GGG to cross the Pond.
              But did he?

Lol @ newfound Murray hype. He couldn't clearly beat Sturm or the chubby Martinez. He's solid, like Macklin, Barker, Geale, Sturm, but he's no better.

So Murray avoided him by not being allowed into the country?

I'm not how sure how that equates into him avoiding Golovkin.
