Once canelo beats the pulp out of the hype-job, Floyd will be forgotten.

Pac is the FOTD and a decade is a generation isn't it? So yes Pacs the best of this generation.
Losing isn't a barrier to being the best, because if it is, then people will try to protect their records and that's a dangerous road to go down for boxing fans.

In 2009/2010 it was definitely Pacquiao in terms of resume. But it is 2013 and Pac has done next to nothing to further his career since Cotto. His career has badly stagnated and with two losses in his last three fights his stock is as low as it has been since before he became a superstar. Pac and Floyd are about even now and a win over Canelo would elevate Floyd past Pac IMO.

Impossible as long as the true greatest of this generation Bernard Hopkins does not retire.

Which generation are we talking about here? There are many fighters that could rival both of them for the spot, depending on when exactly we are talking about.

However, between Floyd and Pac, I give the edge slightly to Floyd - And it's not because I particularly like to, but he faced slightly better and more credible opponents more often than Pacquaio I think.

The common opponents speak in Mayweather's advantage as well. But time will tell when they are retired, but I give the edge to Floyd at this stage.

That'll be decided once they retire.

A loss even now to Floyd puts things into a complete whirlwind.

I prefer Manny over Floyd! Only because Manny is a boxer/puncher styled fighter who is never in a boring match! Floyd as a counter mover/counter puncher is often times not willing to dominate and stop a fighter that he can stop. I think Floyd has the better eye/hand and is a more educted fighter than Manny but appreciating the art form of a boxer doesn't light up a live crowd like a guy who comes to "finish the fight"! Theres an art form to that also its just not as visable anymore in boxing!

Also the weight class that Manny has worked through is impressive to me. Catch weights mean nothing to me, theres always been + and - added to contracts. I don't believe it should appear on contracts that involved realistic title matches but other than that + and - has always been in boxing.
If you sign to come in at a certain weight your an ass if it negatively effects you! Two or three pounds means NOTHING!! Ray.
