Like I said, there is no difference in the CW's.
He wasn't requesting the JMM CW, that was JMM. Should we start blaming Cotto for Pac's CW request? He has never requested a CW while holding a belt in the same division, a chosen few have.

Nelo should be fighting other 154 pounders and not all these small dudes.....I bet his chin is suspect....reminds me of the way they built Berto, kept feeding him smaller dudes and keeping him away from punchers.....saw this story before
If Floyd is a 147 and too small for 154 where he's 2x champ, why hold on to the 154 belt for a year+? Go to the first page, there's a link with him saying "don't strip me, I'm gonna defend it after Guerrero"

You don't know that, you are just speculating. No, because we know that was Manny.

Look you are either going to hold them equally or skew it in favor of pac because you are a pac fan. your choice.

I posted the same thing. There are two different articles, one was Floyd asking for 147 and 150 and then accepting 152. The other article was about Canelo saying on May 28 that he cannot comfortably go below 154. Each article supports a different stance, one being what Floyd asked for and the other being what Canelo said he would not be comfortable at.

you know from being a regular poster here that it was floyd sr. who threw out 147 and that he is not involved in the business end of things. you also know Canelo said this BEFORE the fight as a negotiating tool, which the author indicates.

Did you actually read these or did you just go by the title.

INDIRECTLY FROM ELLERBE: “Canelo will be a dead man walking when he goes into the ring. The casual fan doesn’t know what difference one or two pounds can make when a fighter is already down to weight."

I mean really? Show me 1 instance with guys in separate weight classes, with the bigger guy requesting to drop extra weight? They may offer it to sweeten the deal, but offer =/= request. That's cause the heavier guy would just as soon (or rather) fight without that clause, while the smaller guy will enforce the penalty if the other guy comes over the contract weight

Did or did not Floyd's team and his Pops insist on 147lbs when the fight was first being negotiated?
