Well for starters Margarito never fought below 147 and is considered one of the biggest welterweights of Floyd's era, had excellent stamina and was an effective pressure fighter.

Margarito is an easier fight than Ricky Hatton for Floyd. NO ONE and I repeat NO ONE with feet as slow as Margarito is EVER gonna beat Floyd. Margarito is sooo overrated because of his win against Cotto(which is shrouded in controversy). And Im a die hard Cotto fan. Plaster or no plaster Cotto was made to order for Margarito. Wow man, Margarito has to be the most overrated Mexican fighter ever. He was not good at all. He just had a great chin and great stamina. His skills were average at best and he had decent power. People talk like this dude was suppose to be the next Chavez or something when hes nothing close to it.

very true...the only thing truly amazing about margarito was his chin...his biggest pay days were his biggest losses which is how I'll be remembering him
