He's def an ATG, not only did he fig everyone he beat a lot of them, and even some of the guys who are lesser names that he beat, would be top notch fighters, or were right around top notch in there day.

He fought every style in any weight class.

He also had the personality, and as entertaining a style as there is.

I dare you to watch his fight with Fernando Vargas or Mosley and tell me you don't see a ATG there. He had the "it" factor as much as anyone we will ever see.

I just don't see how you can be great for fighting and then losing to every great opponent you fought in their prime.

His resume for fighting is ATG. He wins are not.

Had him beating Mosley in the rematch clearly, that in my opinion was a robbery. However the Tito fight wasn't a robbery at all, that was a fight in which he deserved to lose, and he certainly did not win the first 7 rounds as Lampley likes to put it. Not an ATG in my opinion, very good fighter though.

Hoya vs Vargas highlights, he truly was the golden boy, he just had it. And I wasn't even a fan of him at the time.

I think it is a fair argument one way or the other. I would call him on the cusp of ATG status, some would say that is ATG other would say that is falling short~ he had an interesting career.

I will say had he finished the job against Tito this would not be a debate. Those last 4 rounds I bet Oscar thinks about them all the time.

Your not giving credit to him for a lot of the guys he beat, and even in his loses he did well most of the time. And he def beat mosley and Trinidad, Mosley was the top pfp fighter at that time.

The biggest difference is hoya fought most of these guys in THERE primes. Your just not going to win them all when you do that, it's not going to happen.

SO you're holding his losses against him when he was out of prime, and his wins against other greats when they were out of prime?

                youre not making sense

DLH is easily an ATG. Not just anyone can accomplish what he has done in the sport. I can understand why people dislike him but you can't take that away.

He lost one big fight in his prime, and won the rest.

and then near retirement he lost to 2 legitimate top 40 ATGs. What a bum.
