Actually that's a better resume than what GGG has right now and people are hyping him to kingdom come.

I know Chavez is fat and lazy and hard to like but he was a pretty good mw before the GGG hype train came to town and before Quillin was considered legit. This is around about the time the likes of Macklin and Barker had already been dismissed from the top of the contender pile by Martinez.

I think Junior can make a real go at smw, no doubt he loses to the elite in Froch and Ward but he can beat up on a lot of the b list guys and there's no shame in that.
He was never the second best, Golovkin would've beaten him at any point in their respective careers. The fact that he's only recently been on HBO doesn't change that. I agree that he was/is a good fighter, but his career path was very carefully selected and I don't see that changing.

Chavez lost to Zbik in the eyes of most people. None of the guys you mentioned were that good, all would lose to Barker, Geale, Macklin, Quillin, Sturm etc., that's the case now and was the case back then as well.

The guy and his team stole the belt from Martinez in a pathetic, cowardly way, then avoided him for as long as possible. It wouldn't surprise me if Chavez moving up in weight was part of the reason the WBC decided to wrongfully strip Ward of his belt, knowing Chavez could never beat Ward but wanting to find a way to get him a title shot at someone beatable.

Chavez has no intention of taking on a tough opponent in a fair fight. He was on more roids than JMM and Pac combined yet still got outclassed by a guy 2 divisions smaller than him. Perhaps he'd fight Golovkin or Martinez at 168 where he'd have a ridiculous size advantage, but not at 160, and I'm guessing this is just more empty talk. He spent over a year talking about Martinez before finally facing him, it's just nonsense that only his fans believe in.

no way he'll fight GGG or Ward -- will only fight Martinez if his people are convinced that Sergio is done as a top tier fighter -- outside of Martinez, Jr. has ducked all top tier guys in their prime all along -- don't see that trend changing going forward -- too bad he's been so overprotected because he does have good skills

yeah, that list is more of an indictment of Jr's reluctance to face top tier guys in their prime -- he's been so carefully matched that it's ridiculous -- his people took a gamble that Martinez was basically washed up, that's why they agreed to fight him -- turned out that Sergio was only SOMEWHAT on the downward slope but still have enough to dominate Jr and make him like a glorified semi-contender at best

The man just said he wanted to fight GGG and you start whining like a girl. You GGG fans are off the hook. One minute no one would dare get in the ring with him. The next you guys do anything to discredit anybody that calls him out. STFU you sound like my 4 year old niece.
