If you don't think 12 round professional fights take a toll on your body than I don't know what to tell you. And I'm not getting into pissing contests over lame excuses over why one of your favorite fighters got his ass kicked so save it for someone else.

PBP didn't say break, what do you mean by it? The reason he hasn't fought since last year is down to injury. He'll fight this Autumn/Fall.
I think HBO will eventually pressure him into going up. All he's got left at '68 is Froch and Chavez. He can make a lot of money next year if he plays his cards right.

And yeah he's got a set date for November 16th so he will be back soon.

Yeah, I have to say it doesn't seem like the brightest business decision on his part. Then again, the sport is about fighting the best.

After the Andy Lee fight, now more people wanted him fight the best in the division because they thought it could be competitive. There was also a bit of bad blood that made it interesting. Point is there were elements that got people to really want the fight to happen.

For Ward though, it doesn't really have any of that. It's just a flat out mismatch. Why would anyone in the world would be interested in this?
            1. Ward needs the money so id be happy for him
            2. Imagine the respect Chavez would get if he actually won, which he can always use more of as long as he's son of a legend.
            3. Good style match up
            4. Not many other options

I don't hate this fight at all. I'd even be willing to pay money for it.

                Ward whips Chavez easily
good fight but surprised Arum would even want it
been expecting Chavez-Bika to get pushed so Chavez gets a belt
but it's ballsy on Chavez' part if he actually faces Ward
don't think he has enough speed to do anything to Ward

I hope not! I paid for one Jr fight already and all i saw was him get beat for 11rounds 2min and 40 sec. Yes one KD but then held on after Martinez got up and continued the whooping.

Chavez Jr. doesn't seem to care as long as he gets paid.
He wanted to fight Sergio even though everybody around him knew he was getting beat... even threatened to leave Arum if he didn't let him fight
