If that were the case, why didn't Showtime demand Floyd to fight Canelo instead of Robert? You people for years have been saying how Floyd picks his fights, now all of a sudden Showtime is picking his fights? Is Showtime a promoter, adviser or a network? Do you honestly believe that Floyd couldn't have walked away from this offer? Floyd's under contract, so regardless of who he fights, Showtime has to pay him. Floyd wants the most money, and that's why this fight is happening. Showtime is taking the risk, not Floyd. They have to pay him, not the other way around. He tried to fight Canelo 2 years ago when he knew it would be easy pickins and Canelo's people said no. He then tried to get Canelo to boost his Guerrero PPV because he knew the numbers wouldn't be good in exchange for a guarantee to fight Canelo yet he wouldn't commit to paper.

The PPV bombs, Canelo looks like a star in the making in his fight and Showtime forced him to take the biggest fight out there to recoup the PPV losses. Floyd didn't like being forced so he demands 147 ....rejected, he offers 150....rejected, he offers 152 and the fight was finally made.

Floyd didn't want this fight but now it's his to deal with.

Lets also not forget the fact only the Guerrero fight was guranteed every fight after that is optional that either side can walk away from. Seems to me they are more proactive now and building up his future opponents hence Garcia vs Lucas on the undercard.

Don't be crying to us, this is NSB man....you either survive or you get mowed over. Guerrero was too slow, he isn't a garbage fighter, he just lost to Floyd. I do have a list of excuses in case Floyd wins though, I make one up before every Floyd fight....I mean, you got to have them ready to cover your pre-fight trolling right?

Showtime is a business -- yes. But Showtime signed Floyd for an obscene amount of money because they wanted market share. They were willing to potential take a loss for future profit through market share. They wanted to become a big force in boxing, taking away HBO's power. The best way to do that is by taking away their biggest cash cow -- Floyd Mayweather. And so far, that strategic business move has worked. Showtime now has the entire Golden Boy stable.

And how can someone try to duck a fighter? It's either a fighter ducks a fighter, or a fighter does not! There is no 'tried' to duck.
