An all-access look from inside Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez's training camp in Big Bear, Calif. as he hosts the media ahead of his Sept. 14 clash with Floyd Mayweather.

Alvarez (42-0-1, 30 KO's) is training out of a facility owned by former three-division world champion Shane Mosley. During his workout, Alvarez could be seen fielding questions from reporters, shadowboxing, ripping the heavy bag, and finally closing his session out with some cardio work.

Alvarez faces off with Mayweather from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas in a Showtime pay per view attraction. [Click Here To Read More]

    grinding hard?

dude wore out easily throwing heavy shots on the heavy bag...

also he continues to stay feet planted when throwing punches and combinations..

you can NOT beat floyd throwing punches feet stuck to floor static, floyd will be

    exiting out and away...

canelo has to be moving with his punches to stay in the pocket and within

    range of floyd....

bad stamina, bad feet, equals easy floyd win..

    easy win for floyd,

I recall reading that Canelo is going to wait until Floyd throws and then he's going to throw with him. I might be remembering wrong though.

          not a bad plan, although

the ghost did that and won the first two rounds,

then floyd started moving and exiting quickly and the ghost did nothing as

          his feet were planted..

you have to move and use footwork to get to floyd...

without footwork you could hit like a truck, floyd wont be there to be hit

that's actually a better game plan for canelo.

if you can't keep up with floyd's speed and footwork, pressuring him as a gameplan will not work. if you're always on the attack, you'll just feed in to his strength which is countering and using the ring. and if you don't have a good stamina like canelo does, that gameplan would be a disaster. he'll just tire out trying to chase floyd. the catchweight could also be an added insult to the injury if it will affect his conditioning.

you have to make floyd second-guess your gameplan even it means the fight could turn boring. let him do something he's not used to do...let him lead. stay out of reach for his right hand. make him take a step forward to throw his right hand lead. and when he does, that's when you mix it up with him.

Assuming that this is the strategy Canelo employs, what's Canelo's Plan B once Floyd makes an adjustment?

This is the problem every Mayweather opponent has: Floyd recognizes what you're doing and is adept at adjusting. Find something that seems to work, and he's going to take it away from you. He has done it time and time again, so unless the fight ends quickly, there's no reason to believe that Floyd won't be able to make adjustments based on what Canelo is showing him.

The Mosley bout is the perfect example of Floyd's ability to adjust. Floyd's detractors correctly point to the fight as evidence that Floyd is human. Shane did have Floyd seriously hurt in the second round. But what happened in Round 2 of their fight is less important than what happened in Round 3.
