It seemed like many on here gave Mayweather credit for a good win but of course some did not. It's always like that. You are never going to see all of boxing scene agreeing on anything. Trout fought Cotto shortly after Mayweather fought Cotto. He beat Cotto by almost the same one sided scorecards as Mayweather beat Cotto. I think the Cotto win was just as good a win for Trout as it was for Mayweather. Mayweather gets an edge because he is a welterweight beating the slightly bigger Cotto while Trout is a bigger man than Cotto.

Your such a tool for mayweather but its ok, i will play along,,,

maybe you should research some cotto info if you dont know who he beat...

        as a youngster he beat

Undefeated maussa who went on to win a belt
undefeated kelson pinto who was a amateur rival of cotto
Sosa,, after sosa went 12 with your boy floyd, cotto stomped him in 4
Corley after he went 12 vs floyd and zab-- cotto stopped him in 5
undefeated Torres who went on to win a belt
undefeated Pauli who went on to win some belts,,,

that was when cotto was young and at 140.......

who had trout beaten,,, delvin and canelo's brother,,,,

a shot cotto is better than anyone on trout's resume,,,
a shot cotto is not better than anyone on floyd's

do you understand now,,,, probably not since you come off as a blind idiot that cant comprehend the simplest of rationales,,,

If you cant see the difference between floyd and trout,,, and where they are at in their careers,, then you are honestly,, just ******

Yes. He was an unknown underdog that some considered a tuneup.

So how does Cotto go from shot to not shot to not a "good" win to a "great" win? Anybody care to explain boxingscene logic to a new member of the forum?
It was a good win for Trout because he was relatively unknown and a big underdog going in (I knew he would win though). Cotto was one of Mayweather's best career wins up there with DLH and Corrales in my opinion, but still just a good (not great) win in the end.
