Look at their resumes and you see one man has beaten the best while the other is a solid tier B fighter who couldn't get past an old worn out version of a man Joe wrecked.
I think Joe would had outpointed Froch. But to Froch defense, Froch has a better resume and would beat anyone Joe has faced with the exception of Hopkins.

i'm pretty sure froch could come forward and swing at air all night just like calzaghe did. is it really hard to miss and get countered?

And froch wouldnt beat hopkins at 175........

Joe was a better fighter IMO,,, took alot of easy fights, but when tested he always rose to the occassion,,,
lol are you serious? lacy was a bum. froch would destroy him easily and knock him out instead of slapping and clinching over and over like calzaghe did.

it appears that defending your countrymen is a full time job with you. Your attitude of "everything British is great, and everything else is shyt" is laughable. Grow up it's a big world dude. Ward owes his career to Calslappy? Now that's funny no matter where you're from

Come on now. Even Ward knows that Calzaghe is his Daddy.

That's why he named himself "Son of God".

Lacy was widely regarded as one of the very best 168 fighters in the world when Joe wrecked him. If the slightly younger version of Kessler could beat Froch then the prime version that Calzaghe walked through would've 100% beaten down limited Carl. Say what you will about Joe but 3 things are very true, his stamina was second to none, he had world class handspeed and his power was very underrated.

really Joe is about good chin built on great stamina and solid training and careful matchmaking advantage. This allowed him to beatdown weak uninterested opponents and outlast stronger ones who outboxed him.

His handspeed isn't even close to great, its a byproduct of slapping without any force. Theres no need to post the gif of the welsh prematurely-fight-stopping ref not feeling his punches again.

On reflection, Lacy had little chance. He wasn't stopping Joe.

As much as I love Calzaghe he ducked Froch.

Props to Froch, giving Groves a shot. Calzaghe shoulda done the same and given CF a chance before he retired.
