Read up on it and find out for yourself. Some say he just had his hands wrapped a certain way that was illegal in NYC but legal in other states. He ended up having to re wrap them. The re wrapping happens alot in boxing. He also wasnt suspended so I don't think he had anything that bad. Hopkins would have probably beaten Tito regardless of anything so him losing doesn't make me think anything suspect about him. Tito was favored going in but Hopkins was no joke. Especially being a mw champ for so long like he was.
Mexico in for some more trouble???

If you're good with math you will notice that Tito came up in weight to fight Hopkins. It also took 12 rounds to get the job done. 147 is where the beast once lived.

Tito was mindfcked...Credit to Hopkins team for playing games and getting in Tito's head.
Hopkins did a great job of not letting Tito land enough to create problems.
Credit to Bernard for 27 headbutts and not a single warning or deduction. That is crafty right there.Comment

Even if JMM and Canelo lose, Mexico is still in excellent shape. Mexican fans are probably the most dedicated fan base so even when a guy like Mares loses the fans will still support. Plus, there are so many good Mexican champions and up and comers in boxing currently. There are guys like Juan Estrada, Juan Carlos Sanchez, Mikey Garcia, Guerrero and Victor Ortiz. But most importantly a few losses doesn't hurt their fan support or marketability.Last edited by Public_Enemy; 08-26-2013, 03:15 PM.Comment

Very true but they sure seem to detract from other fighter when they lose once.Even if JMM and Canelo lose, Mexico is still in excellent shape. I call it denial, some would prefer to call it loyalty.Comment
