I watched the fight once in person and three more times on TV. It was all about precision, and I enjoyed it quite a bit. I certainly understand that serious fans have different tastes; however, anyone who thinks Rigo-Donaire was boring, simply doesn't understand what they're watching. You have to know what you're looking at to appreciate it. KOs appeal to the masses; boxing exhibitions appeal to finer tastes.
Just watch the Rigondeux Donaire fight

Rigo did a masterful performance against Donaire. The counterpunching and movement had Donaire confused and out of balance.
Funny to see how many ppl dissmiss Donaire like a hype job and then turn around and say it was Rigo's biggest win.
Im in for a rematch if it ever happens.Comment

I thought the first 6 rounds was pretty intriguing. It's not often that you get 2 top 5 prime fighters in the ring together. Just the anticipation of what was going to happen made it exciting to me. After 6 rounds it was clear Rigondeaux was going to win.Comment

Whitaker was at least an American. No one is refuting El Chacals skills, but the guy is in a tough spot as a not so exciting Cuban boxer that does not speak English. The point is that boxing is a business so you better be marketable in some way if you want to make money. I would watch Rigondeux fight no matter how boring it may be. But the market is not only set up for hardcore boxing fans.Watching live I thought it was very intense knowing Rigo can whip him, but Donaire can land a shot at any time as well..
Of course after knowing the outcome and hearing all the BS, one would find it boring..
It was high magnitude Very intense fight, which showcased a MASTER Boxer.. Why do people hate boxers all of a sudden.. Sweet Pea Whitaker would have never been on This HBO..Comment
