I like him and I'm a big fan of pure boxers but he could have been more aggressive, I guess it's because he has a weak chin.

I'm just mentioning that it's another factor that goes against his marketability.

Of course after knowing the outcome and hearing all the BS, one would find it boring..

It was high magnitude Very intense fight, which showcased a MASTER Boxer.. Why do people hate boxers all of a sudden.. Sweet Pea Whitaker would have never been on This HBO..
I honestly blame UFC fight fan culture for this, because of all the crazy knockouts or submissions that happen. I'm a UFC fan and I like the sport of MMA but it's a different beast compared to boxing. Boxing has way more limitations and UFC at times with certain fighters is a glorified bar fight. Now real MMA fighters against one another bring a different aspect but people get pissed and boo because people aren't being dropped to the canvas. The KO's are way easier in MMA.

Well maybe if Donaire knew how to cut off the ring it would have been more exciting for you.. He sliced him to bits and almost Knocked him out in the 12th.. This is @ the time a p4p top 3 to 5 some called him 2.. I Loved it and so did plenty of other fans that didnt buy in to Bob's statements .. Bob was the big loser, thinking he had Pac replacement and was upset.. Thats what it boils down too..

My thread was also motivated by all the hate this Donaire dude gets, he was clearly ill prepared.

I'm sure fight fans are equally discontent with those that don't show much of an offensive arsenal and follow their opponents around like an amateur as oppose to cutting off the ring. Did Donaire try anything different? Don't kid yourself......

Rigo put on a performance of a lifetime v Donaire. Some people still don't accept this and choose to be in denial.
The networks will eventually love him... he needs to keep winning is what matters.

You're completely right. They don't. I'm a boxing fan, first and foremost but I've watched UFC since the barbarian days of the first VHS tape with Gracie vs. Shamrock in UFC 1. The sport of MMA has progressed into a mainstream acceptance and I like watching the fights, because good fights are fun but boxing is a whole other animal.

I can only imagine how bad some of these MMA fighters would get destroyed with no boxing background against Olympians and pro's, hell even the amateurs. With all the limitations for MMA fighters, they'd get KO'd easily by some of the D-list feed-fodder fighters in boxing that are sacrificial lambs at a cheap indian casino against a 5-0 boxer.

But he simply doesn't throw enough damn punches and that's why he's boring. I see everyone on here hating on this Donaire dude (I only really follow the 140lb+ divisions) but it was obvious he was unprepared, talk about him waking up at 4am etc and he had the worst gameplan possible for this fight. He should have pressed the action more, his trainer Robert Garcia seems like a doofus aswell.

Rigondeux not getting the deal from HBO is totally understandable, he's a boring ugly mofo who is very skilled and talented but just not entertaining and he can't speak english. Like Angel Garcia would say ''The truoof is the truoof and the truoof hurts!!''
Most people saw the fight when it originally aired months ago so with that said your after the fact 2 cents is not required.

What changes did Donaire make, I like how people don't like to bring that up. Donaire gave you the same episode from round 1.
