Yeah, I feel happy for Thompson, he's not a bad heavyweight at all and hopefully he will get a couple more good paychecks before retiring. He exposed what a hype job Price is (was) and has gained a lot of respect in Europe. Kudos to the Tiger.

Strange but i actually think price can still be a decent HW if he takes a step back & works on defence, stamina, his jab & fighting tall. He has no chin but he laid thompson out with his right, pulev landed several big rights & thompson took them well. You can't teach one punch KO power & price has it. That right in the 9th that pulev hit thompson with( when tony switched to orthodox) would have been a knockout if it was price hitting him. I thank pulev for giving me a little hope price can still be in the mix. Hopefully price can be better then travis walker but he could end up like raphael butler( big puncher with nothing else)

If I was managing the tiger I'd be calling up Richard Towers or Lucas Browne. Try to set something up for late this year.

Price certainly has a lot to improve. Still, it seems the main issue is his chin, and with a weak chin at HW, he won't ever get very far.

I said the same thing about wladimir... Hasn't lost in 10 years... I don't think price is going to win a world title but ever since i was sitting at tilley's drinking coffee at 16 & watched douglas ko tyson i never say never...

That can help price if he can improve his defence & start fighting tall. Let's see thompson in with chisora, arreola, boytsov or helenius. Maybe solis...
yea,,price can crack. no doubt about that. its a shame his chin and mental toughness are so bad

Even if Price never puts it together he could still have a decent career & make some money as a gatekeeper or at the domestic level. He was mopping the floor with the journeymen like raphael butler & matt skelton so he is a C+ fighter with B potential if he improves his defence.

I'm assuming thompson will take a break after 3 big fights in 8 months but he was fairly inactive for the previous years so maybe he can sqeeze in another fight by xmas. I'm sure he will get some calls from european promoters. Get him in there with boytsov.

Funny thing is Price has a longer reach than Wlad yet he has no idea how to utilise his jab to his advantage. He needs proper coaching, at least he'd have a chance of doing something.
