Rigo has a lot of issues with the English and sometimes you lose a lot of ideas with the translators. If you want to see his real thoughts read elnuevoherald time to time. Also see the interview just after the Nonito's fight and see him talking with Arum in Spanish and forget about the translator.
Of course, the size and weight matters because probably rigo know he is not the same at 126, but probably with a reasonable money he will be able to do it. If not Mares can be lower because at the beginning of the year he was at 122. The same stubborn is for Mares not going down to a weight he had 6 months ago. The issue is that Arum and GB doen;t talk, but probably yes with rigo because he is not protected by arum as Nonito is

I finally realized that Mares is promoted by GBP...
Then Rigo's words might sound like an announcement, aren't they?

Mares isn't the one that's being shelved or on the outside looking in. Rigo needs to do whatever he can to be recognized right now, and if it takes him moving up 4lbs in order to make some more noise the so be it.

Yeah. Promoters give $750,000 purses to fighters they hate.

Mares has already publicly stated that he would return to 122 pounders for Rigo only. The only issue is Top Rank putting the $$$ up because Mares has freedom to fight wherever he wants

                      Yes, they do...

"Dan Rafael of ESPN reports, via the New York State Athletic Commission, that Donaire's purse is $1.32 million, with Rigondeaux earning a career-high $750,000 purse for the bout."
