Nobody beats Rigo around that weight. Mares has the best chance, but I still give the nod to Rigo.
Most aggressive fighters would slow their flow the moment they feel how heavy Rigo's hands are. Once that happens, they're playing Guillermo's game and it's a wrap. And I agree, nobody from 118-122 beats "El Chacal."

If I was Santa Cruz, I wouldn't want to be Rigo's next opponent. I guarantee whoever is in the ring with Rigo next is not going to last 12 rounds. He's feeling disrespected and is going to make a statement. Quote me on this.

I agree. I said something similar in another thread.

rigo all the way . guevara was having agood time against santacrux , just boxing a litle bit . rigo would box and counter him all night and would find him open , santacrux just throws punches . but for me , this is a duck . first he critizices rigo , then after being pressed , he says this . rigondeaux would school him , big time.

why didnt santacruz just say :i want rigo , i want those belts .....no he ducks and then the comentators kepp pressing and he said this . simple duck. fighters should directly say : lets do it , i want to be beat the king . the master , rigondeaux . those times are gone . what we hear now is excuses : rigo runs . he is defensive . he doesnt engage . so , why dont you cut the ring . put pressure , engage ? ducks , ducks , and ducks . acbeko the only one who clearly is calling rigondeaux . props to him .

"He's a good fighter but his style really isn't too interesting. He runs and holds but he won't **** with you. I'm not sure how exciting it would be."...........man, I like Leo, but this is weak as hell. He's pulling a Carl Froch. Just say "Rigo's a good fighter, but with my style it will be tougher than usual to win a fight with him because he isn't there to be hit". It has nothing to do with excitement and has everything to do with skill. Whenever a more skilled fighter is brought up in a dream matchup, these guys all say the same thing. Froch on a Ward rematch, "He's a boring fighter, it's not a fight I need. He holds". Cruz on Rigo, "He runs and holds, i'm not sure how exciting it would be". Pacquiao on Mayweather, "His style, he runs & runs & runs. I have to make excitement for the fans". Same old song.

I don't want to see Santa Cruz have his career ruined...he would leave the ring a hollow shell.
