Comments Thread For: Haye Confident Fury Will Get Drilled After First Hard Shot

DAVID HAYE has branded Tyson Fury a fool for dismissing him as an arrogant, blown-up cruiserweight.

Haye feels Fury won't be able to handle his punching and power

The pair meet in a massive domestic heavyweight dust-up at the Manchester Arena on September 28.

And the unbeaten 6ft 9in Fury, 25, is convinced that the much smaller and lighter Haye will be no match for him, saying: “Believe me, he will have no answer to my power and my punching.”

Fury compared Haye to his latest victim Steve Cunningham, a former IBF world cruiserweight champion who he defeated in seven rounds last December. [Click Here To Read More]

Cunningham had just dipped his toe into the heavyweight division
Haye would know all about toes.

Probably, but he's going to get up. Haye better be ready for a fight, not looking for a one big shot like he did vs Klitschko.

He'll get up, only to be Chisora'd repeatedly until he stays down. I love the big fella, but he's getting killed unless he makes it out of round 5 - then it becomes a different game.

With Haye's inactivity and the way he was blowing heavily against Chisora, Fury should be able maul him into submission like Cunningham if he can withstand the early overhand hay(e)makers.

          Anyway, Haye TKO4.

I think even at heavy they're a league apart and Haye wins. But I'm not about underestimating Tyson's toughness. He may be harder to put away than anybody's thinking. He got straight clocked by Cunningham perfectly while fighting ****** okay. But he got up ready to rumble and stomped him down eventually. He CAN fight ****** but he isn't a ****** fighter. He knows what he's doing and he's got the heart of a fighter. If he gets put down a few times and gets back up and takes Haye late...who knows?

Haye has to Knock Fury out. That means, in essence, that he has to KO Fury the bigger man, for all practical purposes, in the early- to- mid rounds of the fight. Thats a lot to ask. I mean if Haye were the bigger man it might be different but all Fury has to do is tie Haye up. Everyone agrees that if it goes into the later rounds Fury can start to throw his weight around.

Sometimes in fights like this, precisely because neither guy can achieve what they want to, strange **** happens. Imagine a fight where Haye starts to push Fury around and Fury counter punches Haye....It could happen.

I don't know if Haye is consistant enough to KO Fury. I think all things considered we are looking at a decision where Fury takes it....I could change my mind on this.

Are there any British boxing fans promoters or writers that realize that Haye was not the undisputed cruiserweight champion?

I'm picking Haye by KO in 5, but he can't fight looking for one big punch all night like he did vs Wladimir and he needs to be ready to go the distance against a bigger, stronger guy.

The only reason he didn't have the IBF title is because O'Neil Bell was stripped before Mormeck won the rematch. So technically he wasn't but he should have been.
