I agree with you that I dont see a fighter going down as a bad chin, fighters are going to get wobbled or go down at some point but its about how they take them. JMM has taken some big shots and never been knocked out, his recovery is amazing.

Has nothing to do with reacting under pressure, his body and brain just reacts different to getting knocked down. Other guys will wobble or really be dizzy, his body just doesn't react that way. You can't tell yourself don't wobble lol, if you get wobbled you get wobbled, has nothing to do with mind control bro. its just how you take a punch. I've been wobbled before and tried to compose myself but my legs were like noodles, my balance was off.

His will is another thing entirely different, when he gets hurt or sees his blood he will get cautious but his back step combos will be more aggressive like he is fighting for his life. He knows how to make guys come to him, the reason he lost to Floyd is because Floyd forced him to be the aggressor which is something JMM sucks at he can't pressure fighter all the times he been hurt or dropped its usually from him coming forward.

yeah that was the only time I ever thought he was going to be finished, that was the hardest shot I ever seen him take flush, all of Katsidis weight was into that shot and it landed flush and dropped him like a sack of bricks.

But people also forget that JMM gets hit a lot, scrubs hit him a lot too, he is def an overachiever because he has a lot of flaws as well defensively. He never covers up or clinches to avoid shots mainly side steps and steps back and counters, he is an offensive counter puncher that's most of his defense is off of counters backing up, he gets hit a lot so his chin is iron to me with how often he gets hit in fights he still never been stopped at all.

I think this the Marquez after age 30, he didnt get hit often and had better legs which he used a lot. He wasn't quite the offensive counter puncher until he aged a bit and went up in weight which slowed him down.

I'm just saying it's not only chin. JMM is in the moment, never looks to be not focusing on dealing with a punch/KD, his full effort goes into remaining calm and thinking logically what's necessary to avoid that again and even win the round.

Clev's got a good chin and look at last night, even just after a couple of hard tags he lost ALL focus leading to it happening again. JMM usually does the opposite. Clev waves a heavy KO artist in and gets KD, doesn't even take a full 8 seconds recovery, looks confused, surprised this is happening to him and un-aware of what's going to stop it, making re-occurrence and KO even more likely.

JMM, those Q's don't go into his psyche imo. He wastes no time, he's thinking why did that happen, what shall I do to avoid it, and when shall I get up. The only effective Q's a highly intelligent tactician and mentally strong boxer looking to recover (good chin or not), should be asking himself.

His chin isn't iron at all but he has the skill, the ability to fight smart and has enough power to back people off once people get him buzzed. He becomes a rattlesnake, it's awesome. Even in the fight with Norwood he got rocked a couple times. But yeah, he's awesome
