Juan Manuel Marquez has an Iron chin

I don't consider flash knockdowns the sign of a weak chin, also when he gets dropped by powerful flush shots he isn't dizzy he pops right back up and recovers quickly.

He has to have the fasted recovery from a knockdown in the history of boxing, because he has been dropped multiple times and hit many times yet was never really hurt by shots he might wobble for half a second but he recovers quickly.

He doesnt have a bad chin,, but he doesnt have an iron one either,,,,

He does have an iron will,,,,,,

An iron chinned guy would be oliver mccall who has taken shots from the best heavy's for over 2 decades and has never been down

Good point about iron will, but you have to admit that JMM has the best recovery from a knockdown in the history of boxing, for as many times as he has been dropped he has never been finished.

it's probably a combination of genetics, will and experience that combines to give him the ability to get up, recover and keep fighting. When Marquez get's up he dosen't run like Khan but he stayes composed and that combined with his great technique makes ít dangerous to just rush in and try to finish him off.

yeah I never seen a fighter like JMM who can quickly recover like that. Remember that massive flush hook landed clean on his chin by Katsidis? he dropped so hard but he popped right back up not even really wobbly. His recovery is insane.

Yeah it's really something. The way he got hit flush and dropped into the canvas with the back of his head and get's up and takes a few more. That he can still put together combos and be accurate immediatly after taking hits like that. I don't now if it's great instinct or that he has trained for it a milion times in the gym but his mental strenght and focus is great.

Without that ability he would have a lot more losses.

I think he has a very good chin and great recovery but in my opinion he was bably hurt in the first Pacquiao fight and he took some time getting to his feet. They were not flash knock downs. He was hurt and did not beat the count by much. Pacquiao also hurt him in their last fight. I doubt Bradley has the power to hurt him much.
