When those two fight, it will absolutely be for the lineal crown whether u like it or not. Ur saying a small minority are saying it, well that's not true. This fight will produce the lineal champ.
It's the best purchased lineal title in the history... Going through Mathew Hatton, Josesito Lopez, Alphonzo Gomez, Shane Mosley (who absolutely did schit to earn a title shot against Canelo), only to finally beat Austin Trout (best win) doesn't spell "lineal" anything and if Mayweather wasn't your favorite fighter, you'd know it.
Let's be reasonable/objective here. I like Mayweather also, but damn, c'mon bruh

The definition of "lineal champion" is essentially the man who beat the man and is recognized by the world as the best in the class.
But when you have someone like Canelo who spent his entire career fighting people not even in his weight class, only to fight Austin Trout who won his belt from Frank LaPorto, that's not Lineal anything.
We're not even going to talk about Floyd's record at 154... Which leads me to my next point; this fight isn't even at 154.
It's not Lineal anything... Only to a certain fan base
Don't get me wrong, I'm excited to see Floyd-Canelo and it's a fight I want to see and will be the first in my seat to watch it, but it's not Lineal anything.
