I count at least 5 HOF/Future HOF fighters there. How terrible...........
Is PBF ATG? 10 best wins

Boxing works n mysterious ways sometimes. It's a sport that all about what have you done for me lately. If Floyd was to lose to Canelo then must of these articles about him being the best would disappear, just liked they disappeared when Manny lost.
But to answer you question, I would have to say Floyd has ATG skills but not an ATG resume, that's one of the reason I don't hold him to such high standards as I do Manny and Hopkins because his resume is shallow compared to theirs.
Also I would replace Mitchell with JLC on Floyd's best wins, I mean Mitchell shouldn't ever b the best win on any great fighters's resume.Comment

If you seriously think Floyd isn't ATG, you shouldn't be posting about boxing, let alone making ****** threads like this. Your description for each fighter he has faced is biased and trolly and I can pick apart your idiotic reasonings for each with ease but I don't want to debate with trolls. Again, if you don't think Floyd is ATG.. boxing isn't for you.Not in that particular order.
DLH - Oscar was old and Pac demolished him easily. Just went though him like knife goes through butter. Mayweather went life and death with him and won only when DLH got tired and stopped jabbing in the last couple of rounds. So so win.
Juda - ok win, but beating Juda doesn't make you an ATG - light welterweight
Hatton - good fighter, but again, not great. B+ maybe, also fought at light welterweight mostly.
Baldomir - Baldomir is ok fighter, pretty limited, B fighter at best.
Mitchell - eh, not that good, was KOed by Zoo and Williams
Corrales - very good fighter, but a super feather weight. It same as Vitaly defeating Gomez or Adamek, pretty much.
Mosley - even though he was very very old, Shane got PBF in the first and if he was 50 years younger Floyd would have been KOed. Great job for a defensive wizard and the best defensive fighter of this generation. Getting almost KOed against old man 10 years past his prime.
Gatti - beating Gatti doesn't make you an ATG.
Cotto - was shot and got destoyed by Paquiao. Lost to Trout. ATG win for Floyd though lol
Marquez - was coming up in weight for the fist time and didn't adjust yet, and PBF didn't even make the limit.
No great wins. Pretty weak 10 best wins for so called ATG. Mostly old guys and lightweights. He didn't beat any good bigger guys at all.
He did beat a lot of super feather weights, but did not that well in a big leagues. Is Rigo ATG? he can't even get HBO deal.
People PBF could have fought to become ATG, but avoided to save his 0:
Paul Williams, Pac, Prime Cotto, younger Mosley, Margarito, Martinez at 154, GGG at 154.
Great fighter? no, good fighter? yes.
Not in the same league as Hearns, Leonard, Duran, Sweet Pea, Hagler. Floyd would probably avoid them like he avoided Pac.Last edited by Lords; 08-17-2013, 04:02 PM.Comment

Sad attempt at trying to discredit a fighters resume when leaving out details and other big wins and accomplishments.
Floyd Mayweather 44-0 (26 kos)
title fights 22-0
current, future, and past titlists champions defeated: 17, 18 if you in clude the WBO (Corley)
Titles: 3 lineal next fight will be for his fourth in 5 weight classes he has won title belts
1) De La Hoya...past prime still dangerous coming off a big win, winning a title and called all the shots...ring size, gloves, etc...considering Mayweather just moved to welterweight a year prior, and impressive feat winning a title at 147
2) Genero " Chicanto" Hernandez....only lost to a much larger de La Hoya in an attempt to win a belt a lightweight....was the junior lightweight champion undefeated at the weight at the time with wins over Azumah Nelson, James Leija and several defense arguably a top ten champ at 130....Mayweather beat him at 21, his 18th pro fight for a lineal title...very few fighters have won lineal titles at a younger age or fewer fights
3) Jose Luis Castillo....was the best lightweight of the past era...lost a disputed first fight and was thoroughly dominated by Mayweather and went on to recapture the title and fight one of the greatest title fights of all time against Diego Corrales. Casillo holds wins over Corrales, Julio Diaz, Cesar Bazan, Casamayor, Steveie Johnston, Jorge Paez and cleaned out lightweight
4) Ricky Hatton...undefeated junior lightweight champion...won the wba welterweight championship and moved down to retain previous title at 140. Hatton was a very good fighter in his prime, hungry and gave his all. Mayweather adjusted and kayoed him. Also althought he held a title at a lower weight Mayweather started at 130 and weighed less on the same day weight in...he was taller but Hatton was bigger.
5) Miguel Cotto: A fight Arum prevented from happening, when Cotto left him it happened immediately...both fighters were past prime and Cotto had suffered some previous setbacks but was on a resurgence in his career winning the title from Yuri Foreman, defeated Mayorga and Margarito before the fight
6) Diego Corrales: was undefeated favored to win and the hardest puncher at 130 had seen in a decade or more....some say he was weight drained but consider he regained titles at the weight after an incarceration and a 2 year lay off...after losing to Mayweather he went a good run regained titles at 130 and won the lineal lightweight title in an ATG affair with Castillo
7)Mosely: Both fighters past prime and fight long offer due. Happened after Mosley completely annihilated Margarito for possibly the best win of his career. Mayweather dominated
8)Marquez: lightweight champion at the time fight at a catweight, p4p number 3....didnt beat him with size but skill had they fought at 130 when Mayweather was their and Marquez was at 126 would have been the same outcome
9)Judah
10) BaldomirComment

he never heard of him....also he probably never seen him fight, and just started following boxing 3 years ago or less...I think he left off Jose Luis Castillo as well....dude DKSAB...sad sad attempt at trolling...for the people that voted no...if Floyd Mayweather isnt an all time great their isnt very many considering in 44 fights he has done more than fighters in the past with 80 or more fights under their belt.Last edited by therealpugilist; 08-17-2013, 04:16 PM.Comment
