You must have missed the part where I stated "in their prime". Andy is a young kid who should be fit and trim if he is serious about his boxing career. Unlike George, he has not earned the right to come in looking like a whale in boxing trunks.

Exactly. No one should be surprised that George is just parroting the company line.

And at least Wilder is in shape and looks like a professional. Ruiz is fat and looks like he doesn't care about his diet at all.

You must have seen foreman's years on HbO... He was the furthest thing from a company man. He WOULDN'T pump up the house fighter & often butted heads with lampley & merchant when they would... I don't see him changing. He's the most unbias announcer ever!

I think so too.... Andy Ruiz is very talented, but like Solis he needs to cut about 15 pounds

I like both fighters but at this point, I think Andy is the better boxer. Not saying Wilder wouldnt knock him out though.

It is painfully obvious he is too fat and NOT in the best shape he could be in. Yes this is not a bodybuilding contest but the champs of old were not blubbery and sloppy looking. At least not in their prime.

This is why the Klitchkos continue to dominate. Love them or hate them, they are ALWAYS in great shape. They have a very good work ethic and a fighter's discipline. If they didn't they would not be reigning as long as they have.

I mean let's get real here, Andy literally, not figuratively but LITERALLY has MAN BOOBS!!! Not cool. Andy Ruiz should take a page from Chris Arreola who has recently slimmed down dramatically. This will pay big dividends for Chris in the long run. I expect a serious resurgence in Chris Arreola's career if he keeps this up.
No offence buddy, but the boxers of old were more likely to be on juice then those of today, i've been around pro boxers for a long long time, and the likes of Tommy Morrison, Frank Bruno, and others have not exactly been on the same sort of page as the guys from today are.

I don't condone the steroid usage in any era, but you never hear of a old timer fighter to speak up against them. Fact is, its extremely hard to look like Iron Mike when nowadays boxers predominantly train for their stamina and boxing skills purely. I agree he should lose some weight, but nobody complained when Butterbean was knocking back cheeseburgers before his fights and then KO'ing nearly everyone in his path

He's Mexican. Deontay is a prime example of what's wrong with today's American heavyweights - they don't fight anyone.

What he looks like is irrelevant, he can box.
