Bro, this isn't about point-scoring. OP is 100% right to call out the choice of O'Connor, he is a horrible ref.
Now, whoever you want to win this fight, what no-one wants is a referee pulling a ******ed stunt. This could potentially be an AMAZING fight and so when we find out O'Connor is involved, everyone should be worried. It's better to call him out now than after the fight.
I understand that the influence of NSB in the wider context of the boxing world is probably negligible. But I would rather someone raise awareness of a bull**** situation that could very well arise.
Having said that, these guys are probably never going to get reprimanded for stopping fights too early. Especially after what happened with McClellan and Watson in the 90s. It's **** but it's just something that happens mostly when a young prospect is facing a bum (like the Eubank Jr video). The Yanks would have you thinking it's every big fight - the highest profile case is probably Peter Manfredo ffsComment

O'Connor is horrible. I can't stand his face. There's an even worse British ref who I can't remember the name of - he stopped Roy against Danny Green - I always cringe when I see him cos I know what's coming.

I don't need to think he's an idiot... I already know he isComment

Kovalev is a beast, and there is a very good chance he might win, BUT, he also has defensive Flaws that a good opponent can take advantage of. He is so offensive minded at times, when he goes all out throwing combinations, he leaves himself wide open. How the Cleverly fight goes, I have no idea. It depends on how good Cleverly is, as truthfully, we do not know his limits. I got a funny feeling that if Cleverly can handle Sergey's power, we might see an amazing fight. I will not count Cleverly out until he is out. He had a couple bad fights where he did not look great, but has looked very good in many also.
If Cleverly can weather the early storm, he can win this. If not, he could end up another KO 3 stat for Sergey.Comment
