This reply is for everyone who LOVES to discredit compubox without actually researching the stats. You guys are spouting that boxing is about rounds won? Fine, let's go and check the stats and see who out-boxed who in ROUNDS:This^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
I scored it for jmm,,,
punch stats are meaningless because they score it round by round,,,
manny could land a hundred punches in 5 rounds he won, and outland jmm overall,, but jmm won more rounds, when manny was less active,,,,
i thought it was a clear jmm victory,,,
if it was a clear manny victory, then why did they fight for a fourth time,, because everyone knows jmm won the 3rd fight.........
CompuBox statistics showed that, in terms of overall landed punches, Pacquiao out-landed Marquez in nine rounds. Marquez out-landed Pacquiao in one (Round 8). They landed an equal number in two (Rounds 3 & 9). In terms of power punches landed, according to CompuBox statistics, Pacquiao out-landed Marquez in eight of the rounds.
Now, the above is on a round by round bases, exactly as you guys wanted. So in 9/12 rounds Pacquaio out landed Marquez, and in 2 rounds they both landed the same amount (can be scored either way) and in 1 fricken round Marquez scores more punches and you guys actually think he won the fight? Marquez even had the nerve to lay back in the last 2 rounds because of Nachos comment, then calls it a ****ing robbery?
The reason people call it a robbery is because Marquez seems to do better than expected or improve, i.e. 3 knockdowns 1st, 1 in the 2nd, and none in the 3rd. Essentially though he still got beaten, and that's that. When it comes to the Marquez fight people are too quick to jump on the "robbery" bandwagon without doing any research.
3-0-1 (technically)
2-1-1 (officially, because of dumb judge in first fight)Last edited by T18Z; 08-12-2013, 06:46 PM.Comment

Yeah, the fact he wrote a book about essentially how he felt robbed was beyond pathetic. Towards Pacquaio Marquez has always been very bitter.Last edited by T18Z; 08-12-2013, 06:52 PM.Comment

I'll never see the obvious Marquez victory so many say this fight is.
Besides, Marquez got the forever memorable KO in the 4th fight. It's over.Comment
