He's a solid contender on his way up. I'd like to see him in with Josesito or Guerrero. Guerrero or Lopez could really show us what he's made of.
Keith Thurman is friggin overrated.

How can he be overrated,,,, nobody thinks he is elite,,,
everyone likes him because he comes to fight,,, is exciting, and has showed much improvement while steadily increasing the competition level....
A year ago, everyone was complaining that he was a hand-picked tomato can for maidana,,, and now everyone would love to see that fight........
I dont think he is overrated,,, I think he is just fun to watch,,, Next tommy hearns, no he isntComment

thurman is a top 10 guy in an overall weak division and i dont think many people are saying otherwise.
he's a guy that i like seeing on hbo undercards because he isnt being forced on fans as the next big thing and his fights are usually entertaining. i thought he showed some good boxing ability last time out against chaves.
he's not a hyped guy like berto was or broner is. he's in the middle of the welterweight pack and i dont think many people are saying otherwise. solid contenderComment

Please do not put words in my mouth. Thats not cool.
I said there was a post saying Broner is nobody until he fights the likes of Thurman. They are both relatively unproven so beating each other doesnt make them elite.
I figured people would just gloss over the point and pretend this is some sort of pro-Broner topic...jeez but not this egregiously
I guess youse havent seen all the Thurman comments...
Keith Thurman is like the next Tommy Hearns !!!
Yeah right. He is an excellent looking contender right now. His resume is very good for a guy at the 20 fight level and he can crack. We'll see over his next 5-6 fights if he is going to become huge US PPV star, good tv fighter and contender, or bartender with Esinday Lara.

I actually think he's underrated. Thurman was thought just to be a big puncher, but in his last 2 fights he showed he can box and adjust when faced with a tough veteran.Comment

This seems to be the tenor of a lot of the responses, and it sums up my feelings as well. In his last fight he faced in Chaves an undefeated opponent with an 80% KO percentage who (I thought) looked game. It was a marked upgrade in competition. Thurman showed pretty good movement, fought through a bloody nose and knocked him out for the first time (was leading on all cards anyway). Definitely a good outing for him, and I want to see more. That's all I am saying.Comment
