So if Broner beats Maidana in the same fashion as DeMarco.. what does this mean?

It means Broner is very good against plodding punchers but will always have difficulty against movers such as Malignaggi. I'd still rate Broner for teh win and have him scraping top ten at WW.

That sets up a fight nicely with the Garcia/Lucas winner or a future with with Karass, Guerrero or Berto, personally I'd like to see him in with Guerrero.

Broner is so much better than Maidana it isn't even funny. I think all the early money coming in on Maidana is more wishful thinking than anything else.

Broner has no actual reason to stay among the welterweights. He's too small for the real big guys there. Even the top light welterweights are too big and too strong for him.
Broner has to give up some extra muscle pack and stay in the lightweight division and fight the guys there, for several years. I'm curious to see him fighting Omar Figueroa...

Omar would get thrashed!
