Curtis Stevens intention was never to fight Golovkin, just piggyback off his name

Well if I was a fighter, they would have to give me more than 300k to get knocked out cold by tripple G too. JK, that is more than fair for a fighter who has probably not made more than 40k in a fight before and has no fan base at all.Comment

So you think it's fair too?
Wow, let's pay Stevens more than Macklin and GGG to get knocked out.
Maybe if he just gets up and says he wants more money because he knows he'll get knocked out, they'll throw him a bone and make him dance for itComment

It's really fair in my opinion based on his stature and relevance.
Sure, he may get clobbered and is coming off of a great KO win but he doesn't get superstar money just based on that only. GGG barely started getting that kind of money recently for crying out loud.
That being said, without a miracle, Gennady will upened this guy rather quickly due to technical deficiencies.Comment

Wait, so GGG just started getting this type of money and Stevens should just out of nowhere get the same because he's going to get beat badly for doing it?It's really fair in my opinion based on his stature and relevance.

And you're talking about Steven's Stature and Relevance?Comment

You're only worth as much as someone is willing to pay you. How does he "deserve more"? Nobody is going to pay him anyway close to that amountComment

Oh, I see what you are saying now. I misread it. I thought that was an official HBO offer to Stevens. I say it's worth about 100-150k to Stevens but I was saying that he should be over the moon excited if he actually got an offer for 300k.Comment
