Golovkin got 350k for the macklin fight. Stevens is a nobody. **** even hardcore boxing fans barely know the guy. I hope team golovkin changes the offer to 50k.

Curtis can always go back to NBC knocking out D level comp for 10k though
i dont really trhink a 300k purse is worth it for either guy.chavez, and martinez are the only draw in that division and whoever lost would have a long wait to get them

GGG will make that if not more regardless.
If Stevens doesn't want the money and feels like he can make that much elsewhere then fine. He probably shouldn't be calling GGG a duck though and saying he's avoiding him when he sent him a contract and he didn't sign it.
It's at MSG, that's as close to home turf as he can get

No way Stevens even deserves 300K. Macklin came off two competitive world championship fights and a KO over a proven contender. What has Stevens done? Team GGG sent in a genuine offer, and it's no coincidence the offer is actually out in the open. Stevens can't even say "I'll fight GGG but the money has to be right".

Fighters have to be careful calling out GGG. Five times a year is a lot of fights. With top names in no hurry to face GGG he might just choose to KO the latest loud mouth .

Only reason I know him is because he got his butt whopped by Jesse Brinkley.

They probably sent that outrageous offer in the first place so they wouldn't hold out for more money....looks like they were wrong

macklin was brought in to get ko'd.he was no real threat.just a name guy on the resume.stevens/ggg could be a fight of the year candidate.i think a promoter should give each of those 500k purse minimum

If Macklin was brought in to get KO'd, wtf is Stevens being brought in for?

You might be interested in finding out that GGG is not promoted by K2. He has a co-promotional agreement with them. I think this is similar to the arrangement Mayweather has with Golden Boy. So no reason to worry about GGG's earnings.
