You see when top guys face each other and lose, and come back with a tough fight, it reminds me of the old days. Second, Floyd Matthysse is an option. One of many Floyd will have IF he beats Canelo.

That's kinda my point. Rios isn't a tough fight for a supposed elite fighter. As an elite fighter, which Pac is supposed to be. You can't fight a guy coming off a loss and moving up in weight and proclaim yourself "back." And its not like Rios lost to a guy that's gonna pop up on any P4P lists any time soon, probably ever.

But Rios, who just lost to a middle tier 140lb'r and has never fought as a welterweight ghets Pac outta the loser's bracker. Doesn't really make sense to me.
WAIT!!! Why is it that PAC is fighting at 140 and no one is crying that he should fight Garcia/Matthysse/Alvarado or Bronner? But they plan Floyd next four fights.

Rios isn't a tough fight AT all. Are you guys debating whether he's a tough fight because of Pacs situation with the knockout and everything or are you guys debating whether he's a tough fight period?

Honestly, I don't know what Frank is debating. From what I interpreted, he doesn't consider the Garcia-Matthysse winner a worthy opponent for Floyd because they're jr welterweights. But, he considers Rios a great win for Pac. I'm lost too. Because that makes no sense to me.

If Mayweather beats Canelo convincingly then it's either Matthysse-Garcia winner or Khan-Alexander winner.

Both legit fights. But I'm hoping for the Matthysse-Khan winner.

That way I'd have Khan-Alexander winner fight Thurman to line up the next fight after that.

Thank you! So not everyone is a moron to think Floyyd should fight Matty or Danny or ANYONE below WW after this fight. Floyyd will not be threatened by a fighter coming from a lower weight class. The power Lucas has at 140 against Jr Welters, will not translate into WW power against certified welters. I want to see Money fight someone he has a chance to lose against so i can see him in a Sugar Ray Leonard vs Tommy Hearns type scenario. I want to see how Money will fight when he HAS to because he is losing or gettin his ass kicked. I want him to have a test of heart, we already know skill wise he is A++++ offensive and defensively, know he has 20 rounds of gas in the tank and know he can outsmart anyone he fights... but how will he do when he is visibly rocked, or dropped, or down massively on cards going into the championship rounds. That is the Mayweather i want to see before he retires.

If Mathysee makes easy work of Garcia there is no way Floyd will sign up to fight him. I see a looming retirement for Floyd.

If Floyd ever fights Rios it will be a life and death kind of fight for Floyd. But not for Pacquiao.
