"An IBF junior welterweight title eliminator between Zab Judah and Vernon Paris is coming this spring, as Main Events won a purse bid with an offer of $70,112"

This would easily be Stevens biggest payday in his career. The only reason I see them turning this offer down($300K) is if they think they could make more in the near future as they let the thought of a showdown between GGG & Stevens "simmer" a bit longer. Of course its a risky move as Stevens could get beat again and his shot will be long gone. I'm betting Ms Duva takes the fight now.

I have no idea why they offered them that much in the first place. Probably so there wouldn't be b.s like this they're trying to pull now.... holding out for more money?
Laughable... should have just offered him 150k, that'd still be more than enough for him

Exactly. Stevens also was swinging kind of wild and wide. GGG would light him up with tighter punching and better overall skill/power.

Well then somebody should sign up and fight GGG if he is so overrated,,,
I still leave him off my p4p lists because his resume is kinda thin, but getting better,,,
Destroying tough proven guys like mack and rosado is impressive, and not easy to do,,,,

GGG rating on HBO have gone up everytime, and broke 1.2 mil viewers for the macklin fight,,, that is very impressive, and guys should be lining up around the block to fight GGG, but for some reason, they are not,,,,
          Sturm dodged him
Serg's own handlers said they wouldnt put him in there with GGG
Stevens calls him out, yet rejects a career high payday...
Nkdam wouldnt fight GGG in an eliminator,,
GGG gets dodged alot, because he didnt bring big money, but now with HBO behind him, GGG should have no problem finding fights, yet no one wants to sign,,,
I guarantee you that if geale wins vs barker, he will fight sturm in a rematch...

These are facts, not just my opinion,, like i said, i still have my doubts about GGG but he is def a dodged guy...

Good post and thanks for pointing to the facts even though you have your doubts which are justified. GGG needs to fight the elite fighters now but he is being ducked BIG TIME which just reinforces another fact...he has serious KO power in both hands....an "0" Killer for sure.

The reason we are critical of Showtime is because
              A) The ONLY reason he is even being talked about is because he called out Triple G.

              B) His side turns down the fight after he gets the offer. (If you call someone out then you need to man up and tell your handlers to make the ****ing fight)

              C) We just don't think he's any good to be honest.

Congratulations Curtis Stevens, people are talking about you. Now take your career-payday (which the opponent you were begging for) and take your ass-whupping. It's as simple as that.

I'm not beat. I'm not into second hand excuses for the guy. He's 31 and needs to fight somebody.

Why doesn't GG move up if everyone is ducking him at 160? Why not go to 168?

shouldnt a champion fight in a weight class that he is best in....
If nobody wants to fight him at 160, then doesnt that prove you wrong when you say nobodies dodging him, its just the fanboys of GGG claiming he is ducked,, yet the guy cant get fights at 160,, totally proves the point when you say he should just move up to 168

Same thing as asking, why doesnt floyd move up to MW or fight true JMWs with no catchweight like lara, trout etc,,,,

You are saying guys are dodging him, not me. I'm basically saying that if this is the case, then why not contemplate a move to 168? Can he get fights with Pirog, Quillin, or Serg? If he can't get any of those guys or Stevens, what will be the new excuse to stay at 160?
