There is no way a Golevkin or a Lucas or a Broner can make as much impact in boxing as a Heavyweight like Wilder. You should WANT Wilder to succeed to carry the sport.... I know most of you are 'hardcore' fans.. but wake up. We NEED the Heavyweights to be relevant in the States for the health of the sport.

I think the personality of a fighter when dealing with public is what can bring the sport back into the main stream! Ofcourse talent must be present!!!

The lack of personality and refusal of the management and the Klitz Bros themseves was no lending hand for boxing to surge world wide! Then the arrogance of a Mayweather to insist on playing the role of a heel and embrace the "hood" while living in a million dollar home turns off any intelligent fan. Not saying he's void of talent he just doesn't care about the sport. The children like Broner acting out constantly and showing that he can't grow up is just a joke. For now he's a lost fool!!!

I personally like GGG he can fight and he is down to earth and has a ton of experience when you add in his amatuer background! The langauge barriers are a problem but a smart team would put an hour a day into addressing it!
He has a smile and a shake for anyone and genuinely wants to be accepted as a champion!!! It could work but then again theres always a faction that likes boxing out of the top positions in sports!!! Then the talk of unification and health insurances isn't on the table!!!! Good ol' boys still rule, don't blame King & Arum because Oscar and Floyd won't do **** for the fighters either!!

I was taught that the tuffest part of boxing will always be outside the ring!
The ring is the only safe place for most fighters! Ray Corso

Let's be honest here, if I love boxing, I can root for whoever I please. While we are being honest, your threads and topics are gar-bage, and reek of trolling.

Some objective boxing discussion that's not about this overhyped fighter every other hour, and I might change my mind about the latter.

Liakhovich's last fight was more than a year ago and he had 0 victories since 2010. Oh, did I mentioned he was already 37 years old?

I mean c'mon, he's been feeding off mummies!

Let's review the age of the past opponents of the mighty Deontay Wilder

          Liakhovich: 37 years old.

          Audley Harrison: 41 years old.

          Matthew Greer: 36 years old.

          Kelvin Price: 37 years old.

          Damon McCreary: 39 years old

          Kertson Manswell: 35 years old.

          Owen Beck: 36 years old.

          Marlon Hayes: 41 years old.

Amazing average of 37.75 years or 37 years and 9 months...

I think he can make some noise in the division. Physically the dudes a monster. He just needs to step up his competition so he can get some big name fights and prove his worth.

I think being a judge in Wilder's fights is the easiest job on earth .

he is a Mike Tyson type , K.O or get K.Oed

This man will never reach the twelve round

I def am rooting for him bc although I don't think he will be the savior of boxing ( in my mind that is up to Golden Boy and Top Rank to start working w eachother so every top guy can fight eachother) I do think he will be a big attraction for hardcore fans as well as general public. I have seen his last 8 fights and I def think he is improving with each fight now I just can't wait to see him fight a top 15 ranked opponent, I think he wins vs most of the top HW out there after a few fights vs good experienced fighters
