I liked how he was using his jab. Some people act like he just goes out there like a bar fight and swings for the fences.

It looked like he wanted to go rounds using that jab nicely but once he had him hurt he blitzed him.

Definitely an exciting fighter to get behind. I hope he can have a mike tyson run. Thatd be sweet!

I won't board the hype train yet; he needs to beat some better fighters I am worried about how skinny his legs are it makes me think he might not be able to take a good punch.

I voted that I hope he does well and I think he will suceed.I love boxing but if Wilder starts acting like Broner I will root against him.I pick my favorite fighters based on how much I like them and not on how big they will make American boxing. Boxing will always survive and no one fighter makes or breaks the sport. My favorite fighers are GGG, Canelo,Matthysse, Pacquiao and Marquez and I don't give a damn that none of them are Americans. If an American fighter comes along that I like as much as these fighters I will root for them.Right now my favorite American boxers are Wilder , Thurman and Mares. I also like the Klitschko brothers. If Wilder fights Wlad I would have no favorite. Let the better man win.

If he can beat a few better fighters and create a buzz of course it will be good for boxing. Although most of his opponents have been cans in his last fight Liakhovich hadn't been stopped inside 9 rounds and he had fought some of the other upcoming HWs and given them rounds.

So it was impressive to stop him in a round, I think they are taking him on the right path and gradually improving the competition they put Wilder in with he still is only 27 so its not like they have to rush him into world title contention. Let him improve his all round skills and try get more experience instead of pushing him to soon and suffer a loss and lose all the momentum he has build up.

I know he had that Vegas incident, but he doesn't appear to that sort of Broner type character. If he ever did become HW champ, I think he would be a positive ambassador for the sport.

I actually like a good number of US fighters too. Bradley, Malignaggi, Judah and Ward amongst others.

As long as I've been a fan of boxing, the heavyweight division has never garnered my attention personally.
