When did you 1st get into Boxing?

As a Fan or as a Fighter...either or.

I was always a fan of Oscar and I would always watch the occasional pay per view with my relatives or at parties...but I never really followed it till I saw Manny pacquiao on the undercard of oscar's fight,he knocked out the african champ. I was impressed because he was Filipino like myself and I have been watching boxing a lot since then.

Casual fan? Since I was a young kid.
Hardcore fan? Since December 2, 2000. That was the night that Félix Trinidad fought Fernando Vargas. I was not the same after watching that.

By the way, Pacquiao gave Ledwaba a merciless beating. To me, it's one of the most brutal sustained beatings I have seen. Ledwaba was destroyed, and the thing is that Pacquiao was supposed to be an easy opponent.

I got into boxing when I accidently watched ESPN's classic Mike Tyson fights. Never meant to watch it, but fell in love in the sport, and went nuts for Tyson. Too bad I started to like Mike at an old age, rather than when he was younger and breaking noses!

I am embaressed to say that I have only followed boxing since De La Hoya vs. Vargas in 2002. But I have picked up alot in only a little bit of time.

I been watchin boxing since the 2nd Frank Bruno vs Mike Tyson. Mike Tyson then became one of my favorite fightas all time. It amazed me how Tyson who was much small in comparison to Bruno KOed him in 3 rounds. Then he kissed Bruno's cut. Definitely a boxing fan fo shizzy
