Comments Thread For: Broner: I'll F*** Up Maidana, Then I Want Matthysse

WBA welterweight champion Adrien Broner (27-0, 24KOs) is planning to hold on to his WBC lightweight crown. In June he moved up by two weight divisions to beat Paulie Malignaggi for the WBA belt. BoxingScene.com reported a few days ago that Golden Boy Promotions is planning to do a major Showtime pay-per-view event on November 9th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas - and their target main event is a fight between Broner and hard-puncher Marcos Maidana.

He's talking a big game. Lets see if he backs it up after Matthysse puts Danny boy down. I'm sure Matthysse would go up to 47 to take that strap off of broner

Seems odd he gets to keep both. WBC usually frowns upon that.

He never wanted none of Matthysse bro. If he really wanted to fight him they could've made that fight happen.

One has to admire the Cajones on this kid. He is willing to fight the best in multiple weight divisions. I just wonder, has there ever been a fighter this young to be so bold and confident in his own ability in recent years; Because I can't think of one.

He wants Matthysse to withdraw from the Garcia fight so that Broner can fight him.

                    Its called false bravado.

Kinda like when a Chihuahua barks at a Pitbull from behind a fence, but when they're face to face, the chihuahua hides behind its owner.
