    If Mayweather loses.... IF

Now I know he's the big favourite and all that. But anything can happen, all I'm saying is IF he loses, do you think he'd be able to bounce back? I mean he's a great fighter but I just think if he lost it would completely destroy him mentally. He bases his entire ego and marketability around being undefeated, he isn't as humble as Pac, I think if he lost it would completely destroy his self esteem and confidence in and outside the ring.

Not IF but WHEN he loses! Get it right!

And yes he can bounce back. He is still very skilled and top of his game. A rematch with Canelo will be coming.

if he loses, he'll bounce back. Lets be real though Mayweather hasn't been in his prime in quite some time. He'll finish his showtime contract.

he looked to still be in good shape against guerrero though (quick footwork, reflexes, timing, etc.) ...but then again it's guerrero...

It depends on how he looks in a loss and how he loses.

If he loses convincingly his legacy is done. He has to retire undefeated because he put so much stock in his undefeated record dissing the oldtimers for having losses, etc.

This is why I think it would have been better if Oscar got that decision when they fought, if Floyd has his first blemish he would have been a much different fighter, probably more exciting and willing to fight the best, instead he remained undefeated and uses that as a way to get people to tune in to see the arrogant Floyd possibly get his first L.

Roy and Floyd are almost identical in their opponent strategy. And after Roy got knocked out hard, he stopped cherry picking fights and was even willing to fight overseas, its weird how his mentality changed, if Floyd got a knockout loss or lost earlier in his career he might possibly become like Roy and actually get braver after the loss willing to fight anyone without being an egomaniac on purse split.
