Calzaghe is one of the fiercest most determined men to ever box. Miss him being around.
Joe Calzaghe Appreciation Thread

I was a fan of Joe. Gr8 boxer with a tricky southpaw style, he'd be a handful for anyone. He did try to get fights with Roy and BPoop earlier in his career but in the end, he didn't fight them. He did however, beat Poopkins in USA, beat a undeafeated Kessler and derailed the Lacy hypetrain. Joe Calzaghe, you are dearly missed. Enjoy your retirement, gr8 champion.Comment

You don't know what the other person knows, period. Lose the arrogance that makes you beleive you know what others think, it does this thread no favours.
why don't you quote this mysterious person, unless you are making it up just like you did with the last post. Balls in your court, I don't expect a reply.I saw one try to claim he ducked Gerald McClellan

Do you even watch boxing? All you have achieved in this post is revealed your own ignorance and prejudice. What is embarrassing is that in your little head you must actually think you are making sense. Bless.there are only two kos on his record up to Eubank., the rest are tkos. Not sure how many are like those welsh ref cheat stoppages he got handed to him in that youtube video. Looking at that record, hes just gone down in my estimation, not up, thanks for the eye opener - the 'stoppages' disappear when he fights away from home against non-crap opps. Good victory against Delaney, mind you.
But in other words .. this..... is bull****.
but yeah he did go on to beat Kessler some 10 years after becoming champ so he was pretty good, no doubt about it, lets keep this an appreciation thread alive.Comment

If you had the wits to simply go back a few pages you would have seen the post on page 6 by Jc8804. Clearly such a task is beyond your level of competence.Comment

thanks for pointing it out, it could have been on any thread in this forum Ihave no inclination to check the whole forum. It appears you think its normal to have that kind of time spare. Good luck with your sparetime, but for me checking the whole forum is beyond me yes.
The OP is an idiot to suggest McG was ducked by Joe of course, they are different eras.
In keeping with the spirit of the thread I would like to add that Joe had impressive longevity to around from Eubank era up to 2009, considering Kessler was still at school back then. He must have had an Olympian approach to training and maintaining that superfit engine.Last edited by DreamFighter; 09-01-2013, 01:03 PM.Comment

but as yet no counterpoint made to anything I said, just a pretence that you are holier than thou. As it was with the previous post, its still your move.Comment
