He was a good fighter but when Lacy is one of your top 3 wins in almost 50 pro fights that says it all about the opponents a fighter has faced.

He had nowhere else to go? Look at his fight record post 08. Dela Hoya was a blown up jr middle, but Trinidad was heavily favoured to beat Hopkins.

******ity knows no bounds with Calzaghe apologists. Hopkins has a career and resume which Calzaghes doesn't even come close to.

Hopkins has a great resume. Having a loss to the legendary Calzaghe on your resume immediately boosts its credibility.

Had he been as great as some perceive him to be, why couldn't he finish a diminished Jones Jr.
If RJ was so great, why didnt he win?

NOTHING will change the fact that Calzaghe Jones struggled to do 200, 000 ppv buys.

                NOTHING.
And nothing will change Calzaghe UD12 Jones.

Everyone with a grain of sense can identify Calzaghe is obviously far from an ATG.

But I also think he's become very overrated in H2H match ups also which is ironic considering when he was still fighting he was underrated in that regard.

It took this crook NINE years to unify, and in his ''reign'', he boxed FIVE top-10 contenders. His promoter, Frank Warren, a leaching gangster with odious ties to the WBO ensured Calzaghe could get away with the most repulsive of contenders, often fighting top-50 WBO mickey mouse contenders.

Calzaghe has a few decent wins. But his style was terrible and he was a compulsive cherry picker.

IF Calzaghe is great, then by the same analogy we can say Sven Ottke and Dariusz Michalczewski are legends.

                      Pathetic.
